Seychelles will play host to Kenya in the nations’ Match Day 2 encounter in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Both nations started this campaign on a losing note and Seychelles are bottom and Kenya fifth in Group F. Hosts Seychelles will have this game in Ivory Coast, the same place they suffered a 9-0 drubbing on Match Day 1. Coming off four straight defeats, Seychelles will hope for a break here. In their four defeats, they failed to score in three while conceding at lead twice in each. Seychelles’ only clean sheet in their last five matches was in the 1-0 win over Bangladesh in a friendly.
Kenya are also coming from defeat, but theirs wasn’t as bad as Seychelles’. They suffered a 2-1 defeat in Gabon on Match Day 1. That loss marked a third straight outing without a win, having lost two of those three games. Kenya’s only win in their last five matches was against Qatar in a friendly game. They however have no clean sheet in five matches and conceded twice in each of the last two games. While Kenya haven't generally excelled in World Cup qualification, their away run isn’t the best. They haven't won an away match in five World Cup qualifiers, losing three of them.
