Sevilla will be out to get back to winning ways when they host city rivals Real Betis in their next La Liga match. The hosts arrive for Sunday’s fixture while down in 15th in the standings, nine points behind Betis in sixth. Sevilla are struggling to win matches. They have won only three times across all competitions. Two of those victories have come in the league where they have accumulated 11 points. Sevilla sit just four points above the drop zone and cannot afford to lose here. Their struggles have already resulted in a managerial change with Diego Alonso coming in to replace Jose Luis Mendilibar. Los Nervionenses were defeated 2-0 away to Arsenal in the Champions League in midweek.

Real Betis have been riding high in recent outings and this has seen them get in the picture for a Champions League spot. Manuel Pellegrini’s men haven’t lost any of their last 11 matches and are currently on a five-match winning streak. Betis were also in European action in midweek and defeated Aris Limassol 4-1 to move to the summit of their Europa League group. Having not won any of the last three competitive Sevilla derbies, Los Verdiblancos will be eager for a win here. And their contrasting form to that of Sevilla has them as heavy favourites to come out on top.
