Despite a trophy-less season at Real Madrid, Vinicius Junior has come to life on the World Cup stage. He has been involved in three of Brazil’s four goals at this competition, finding the net in both matches so far and also providing an assist against Haiti.
In a shift from round one, Ancelotti introduced Manchester United forward Matheus Cunha, dropping Igor Thiago from the starting team. The move paid off as Cunha benefited from Vini’s deliveries on his way to a brace against Haiti. There is a strong chance that these two forwards will remain in the starting team.
