Sao Paulo are three from bottom of Serie A and two points from safety. They did get a win in their last league game though beating Vasco de Gama 1-0 at home. That was a welcome relief and ended a run of nine games without a win. Home league form is inconsistent with that win, two draws and a defeat in their last four games. Now they face a tough task as they face second placed Gremio. They have been closing the gap on leaders Corinthians and are now only six points behind after three straight wins compared to the leaders drawing their last two. Gremio are the top scorers in the league with 30 goals in 15 games with six in the last two. Away form has seen just one loss in their last six games to Palmeiras who are currently sixth in the table. Plenty of goals too including six at Chapecoense and three at Cruzeiro. Go for Gremio to keep up their chase of top spot with an away win here.
