The second semi-final of the CONCACAF Nations League will see Panama taking on Mexico at the AT&T Stadium on Friday. The hosts are ranked 44th according to FIFA World Rankings, while the visitors are 15th. Panama have been in impressive form throughout the tournament and are still unbeaten up to this point. In the group stage, they scored nine goals while conceding just two in four matches to top their group ahead of Trinidad and Tobago in second place. Thereafter, Los Canaleros convincingly defeated Costa Rica 6-1 on aggregate in the quarter-finals to book their spot in the final four. They will now face the only side that has got the better of them since June 2023, which came in a 1-0 loss in the CONCACAF Gold Cup final. Panama are riding a four-match winning streak and are unbeaten in their last seven. However, they are still the bookmakers underdog in this encounter. 

Meanwhile, Mexico received direct entry to the quarter-final stage based on their CONCACAF ranking, where they currently hold the top position with 1,909 points, leading by 73 points over second-place USA. In the last eight, El Tricolor drew 2-2 on aggregate with Honduras over two legs before punching their ticket to the semi-finals on penalties. In recent times, Mexico have been in mixed form, with a record of two wins, two draws and two losses. Their last match ended in a 3-2 defeat to Colombia in a friendly back in December. Panama and Mexico have faced each other 42 times throughout their histories. Mexico holds a significantly superior record in the fixture, boasting 25 victories compared to Panama's five. El Tricolor are unbeaten in their last five against Los Canaleros (W4 D1 L0) and are the out-and-out favourites in this one.
