In a blockbuster clash between two of the top three teams in the 2025 Brazilian Serie A, matchday 30 will see Palmeiras play Cruzeiro. This match on Sunday at Allianz Parque between the leaders, ‘Big Green’, and the third-placed ‘The Fox’ comes with our prediction of more than 2.5 goals.

Palmeiras were humbled 3-0 away at LDU de Quito in the Copa Libertadores this week. Coupled with the 3-2 away defeat against Palmeiras, they have lost back-to-back matches for the first time in this campaign.
Palmeiras have a second-leg match against Quito up next but will look to revive their league push. Nine league wins in a row at home suggest they are likely to fancy their chances of a victory.
Cruzeiro won 1-0 at home against Fortaleza last weekend, which helped end a four-game winless sequence (W1, D3). They are just five points behind their hosts, although they have played one more game.
