Palmeiras - Botafogo: Form Analysis
Palmeiras navigated through Group A of the competition unbeaten (W1, D2) and eventually topped ahead of Inter Miami on overall goal difference. That’s largely due to the two clean sheets on matchdays one and two – a 0-0 draw with Porto and a 2-0 win over Al Ahly.
They needed two late goals to draw 2-2 with Inter Miami and qualify as league leaders. Palmeiras still have only two wins from their last six fixtures (W2, D2, L2), and consistency remains a concern.

Palmeiras could be without Murilo Cerqueira, who hobbled off injured within the first 20 minutes of their match against Inter Miami. Anibal Moreno also missed that match completely but could be fighting fit for this knockout game.
The Green and White could start in their 4-2-3-1 formation, but Mauricio may push for a starting role. He has a goal and an assist in his last two matches. Paulinho also scored in their last game and could be gunning to start on the left flank.

The young forward has been their best player in this Club World Cup, delivering wins with his goals on matchdays one and two. He could once again feature as the central forward in their 4-1-2-3 formation.
