We are back at the Paycom Center on Thursday night for Game 2 of the NBA Western Conference final between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Minnesota Timberwolves. OKC won the first match and leads the series 1-0. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

The Oklahoma City Thunder took a 1-0 lead in the series with a commanding Game 1 performance, holding the Timberwolves to just 88 points, despite having just a day’s rest. 

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was excellent once again, leading the scoring with 31 points and nine assists, while three of the team’s remaining four starters all finished in double digits. 

With that, the Thunder are now 6-1 at home in this season’s Playoffs, including four straight wins by an average of 27 points coming into this match. 

Meanwhile, as has been the trend this season, teams coming off extended layoffs between series have not done well, and that was the case for the Timberwolves, who looked rusty in Game 1.

Anthony Edwards was well off his best and ended with 18 points on five of 13 shooting, while the only Minnesota player worth mentioning was Julius Randle with 28 points. 

Notably, the Timberwolves attempted 51 three-pointers but only made 15 compared to the Thunder's 11 of 21, while they also committed 17 turnovers, which made a huge difference.
