Nottingham Forest will hope for improvements as they host Italian club Fiorentina on Tuesday. This match between the ‘Tricky Trees’ and ‘I Viola’ at City Ground comes with our prediction of under 2.5 goals.

This is Nottingham’s sixth friendly of the preseason, and they have one more against Al Qadisiya after this fixture before their Premier League starts. For Fiorentina, this is their fourth friendly of the preseason, and they will follow this match with a game against Manchester United.

A 1-0 loss to Birmingham in their latest friendly at the weekend continued Forest’s winless sequence in their preparations for the campaign. They have now failed to win any of their five friendlies (D3, L2).

With only one goal scored in those five games, it is evident that Forest need a huge turnaround in terms of output to change their fortunes. Interestingly, all three draws have been 0-0 scores, so there aren’t many problems with their backline.
