Spain have not been at their best in the last three major tournaments and as they gun for a place at the Euro 2020, they know too well how a good run in the qualifiers can be crucial. Now they are in pole position in Group F and will want to finish top as well. A win over Norway will see them open up possibly a 10 – point gap. They have scored two goals or more in each of their qualification matches and head to this on the back of a 4 – 0 win over the group’s whipping boys, Faroe Islands. Spain have 10 wins in the last 12 matches across all competitions and have scored in each of the last 36 matches they have played. The last time they failed to score was in the 2016 Euro Championships when they fell 0 – 2 to Italy. Spain have won each of their last 14 Euro qualification matches and kept 11 clean sheets in them; they last lost in 2014 to Slovakia.

Norway head to this game unbeaten in five matches in the qualifiers since they lost to Spain in the opening round.
