England has had their problems with the vikings in past centuries. They will have a few more on Saturday when England take on Norway in the World Cup quarter-finals. Both sides are scoring plenty of goals but aren't so great at the back. Hence our prediction here is both teams to score.
Norway are in the last eight of the World Cup for the first time in their history. The presence of star striker Erling Haaland has of course been a major factor in their best ever run but the Red, White and Blue are not a one-man team by any score. After beating Brazil in the last round, they will be full of confidence for this match.
England last reached the World Cup semi-finals under Gareth Southgate in 2018. His replacement would love to do the same eight years later. The Three Lions also had a big result in their last match, beating Mexico 3-2. England fans will be pleased that this game has an earlier kick-off. They too have their scoring hero to cheer with Harry Kane in good scoring form. It might be best to keep him away from defending though unless he wants to see Haaland given the chance to score from the penalty spot.

Norway - England: Form Analysis
England have won four of their five matches in this tournament. Wins came against Croatia and Panama in the group stages and the Three Lions then came from behind to beat DR Congo in the last 32 and then Mexico 3-2 in the last 16. Their other match in this tournament saw them draw 0-0 with Ghana.
Those games have extended their unbeaten run to seven since a home loss in a friendly to Japan earlier this year. They have scored 11 goals so far in this World Cup but have had five goals scored against them with both Croatia and Mexico scoring twice.
Three of their last five matches have seen both teams score.
Best run in Norway's history.
Norway have never had a World Cup run like the one they are currently enjoying. The Vikings last played in the finals in 1998 and the Euros in 2000. They finished second behind France in their group but they left out several key players (including Haaland) for that match.
Their other four games so far have produced wins over Iraq and Senegal in the group stages and then Ivory Coast and Brazil in the knockout stages. 12 goals have been scored so far but nine conceded. 11 of their last 12 matches have seen both teams get on the scoresheet and the loss to France is their only defeat in their last eight matches.

Norway & England Squad Analysis
Those who stayed up to watch England's last 16 match against Mexico were well rewarded. The Three Lions won that game 3-2 despite playing most of the second half with only ten men due to Quansah rightly being sent off. Not even President Trump can make him available for this quarter-final. Reece James could return though.
It's often a nervous experience watching England play. There have already been two titanic matches with Croatia and Mexico but less than convincing performances against Ghana and Panama. Mexico failed to take advantage of England being reduced to ten men and if the English side had been up against France or Argentina, they would most likely have lost.
Can England stop Haaland?
Now they have to try and stop Erling Haaland in this match against Norway. The Manchester City striker has already scored seven goals in these finals to add to the 16 he managed in their qualifying group. Haaland knows exactly how to score against England's defenders as he continually does so in the Premier League.
It's not just Haaland that England have to worry about. Alexander Serloth has 26 international goals and will also be causing problems for England. The Vikings have never reached this stage before but will be dreaming of a first-time semi-final against either holders Argentina or Switzerland.
