A fine start to the qualifiers by Northern Ireland was stopped by Germany in the last round and they stand a chance of falling further down after this match, with Netherlands having a game in hand and in good form, Northern Ireland should come expecting a tough game, looking at Netherlands’ recent form. While Northern Ireland lost their last qualification match, at home to Germany, Netherlands did back to back wins, away to Germany and Estonia, and scoring eight goals in the process. Now they return home to host Northern Ireland, and the more reason we feel they are favorites here and Liverpool man Georginio Wijnadlum will be a key man here, having netted two late goals in the last two qualifiers and also enjoying fine form at the club. In the last six matches, Netherlands have scored at least two goals per game and they have nine wins and two losses in their last 11 matches. In Euro Championships qualifiers at home, they have however managed just one win in the last five, the more reason they missed out on the Euro 2016; that all seems to be behind them now.
