Sebastien Pocognoli’s reign as Monaco manager began with a 1-1 draw away to Angers at the weekend, a result that extended the team’s winless run to four matches since September 21 against Metz.
One of the major tasks for the new boss will be to address his side's defensive issues, as they have already conceded 13 goals in Ligue 1, which is the most of any team in the top half of the table.
The hosts held Manchester City to a 2-2 draw at this venue in their last UCL fixture, and have yet to lose a game here in any competition this season. They also scored two or more goals in each of their home matches this term.
Spurs have only failed to score in one of their last 18 matches in UEFA competitions!
Tottenham have made a positive return to the Champions League this season, picking up four points so far, including a 1-0 victory over Villarreal and a slightly fortuitous 2-2 draw against Bodo/Glimt.
However, the reigning Europa League champions saw their seven-match unbeaten run brought to an end over the weekend when they were edged 2-1 by Aston Villa at home in the Premier League.

Eric Dier started at centre-back for Spurs the last time these sides crossed paths almost a decade ago, but he will miss this meeting against his former employers due to a muscle injury.
The Englishman is just one of many injury absentees for the hosts at present, with Vanderson, Lukas Hradecky, Christian Mawissa, Lamine Camara and Denis Zakaria all currently sidelined as well.
Mika Biereth led the attack against Angers at the weekend, but after coming off the bench to score the all-important goal in that match, Pocognoli is likely to recall Folarin Balogun to the starting 11 in this one.
