Michael van Gerwen continues his bid to reach the Darts Premier League play-offs. He's fourth with just three Nights to play and in Thursday's quarter-final, he takes on second-placed Luke Humphries. Can Mighty Mike get the win in Leeds? Here's our match prediction.
The winner of this match will face either Chris Dobey or Stephen Bunting in the semi-finals. Van Gerwen returned to the play-off positions last week after being runner-up to Luke Littler. That was only his second final of this year's tournament, both of which he lost.
He is one point ahead of fifth-placed Nathan Aspinall. Losing this match would see him drop out of the top four if Aspinall were to beat Luke Littler on Thursday. This is his fourth match against Humphries in this year's Darts Premier League with two being lost to Cool Hand Luke.
The most recent of those matches was two weeks ago when Humphries won 6-4 in the semi-finals. Humphries is second in the table, nine behind leader Luke Litttler and seven clear of fifth-place.
