The Memphis Grizzlies play host to the Miami Heat at FedExForum in an NBA cross-conference clash. The Grizzlies are in fourth place in the Western Conference table, while the Heat are in tenth place in the Eastern Conference. Here's our match prediction. 

The Memphis Grizzlies had a poor run in the preseason games. They lost four of their last five matches. Many thought that erratic form would follow them in their opening match of the 2025-26 NBA regular season.

However, that wasn't the case as they managed to secure a hard-fought 128-122 home victory against the New Orleans Pelicans. 

Ja Morant led the team with a game-high 35 points. Jaren Jackson contributed 18 points and had eight rebounds. As a team, they shot an impressive 51.25% from the field. In the three-pointer department, however, they were far from convincing, shooting 29.73%.

The Miami Heat also failed to impress in the preseason games. In fact, they suffered six consecutive defeats, and that poor run followed them in their opening match of the 2025-26 NBA regular season. 

The Heat was drawn against the Orlando Magic and was already slated for failure before entering the court. Despite putting up a fight, they couldn't avoid a 125-121 away defeat.

Norman Powell led the way with a game-high 28 points, had nine rebounds, and four assists. Andrew Wiggins contributed 18 points.
