Co-hosts Tanzania will be looking to make it two wins in two when they next play Mauritania in the African Nations Championships (Chan). After matchday one, they lead Group B while Mauritania are third. Read on for our prediction of this match below.
Mauritania earned a point in their opener against Madagascar. Aritz Lopez’s men, though lacklustre, drew 0-0 with the Island nation, who were reduced to 10 men in the first half.

They made the knockout rounds for the first time in the last edition in Algeria.
Tanzania were in rampant form on matchday one and will be looking to ride the momentum and maintain their 100% record. Hemed Suleiman’s men earned a 2-0 victory over Burkina Faso in the capital, Dar Es Salaam, the venue of their next clash with Mauritania.
Goals from Abdul Suleiman and Mohammed Hussein handed the Taifa Stars only their third win at a Chan tournament. Tanzania are playing in their third African Nations Championship and are seeking to make the knockout rounds for the first time.
The hosts, who prepared for the tournament with a 2-1 victory over defending champions Senegal, had over 60% possession against the Burkinabe.
