Mamelodi Sundowns will look to complete the job when they host Nigerian champions Remo Stars in the Champions League. These two meet in the return leg of their second preliminary round with Sundowns leading the tie 5-1. Below is our prediction for the match.
Sundowns recently got eliminated from the Carling Knockout Cup, but the same doesn’t seem likely to happen here. The South African champions actually responded to that elimination with the first-leg win.
That was their fifth win in the last eight matches, and they’ve only lost once in regular time in the last 10 games.
Remo Stars have an uphill task after falling at home to the former African champions. The last time Sundowns conceded more than a goal was at the Club World Cup.
