Rotherham United halted their losing run with a 1-1 draw at home to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday, and on Tuesday they will hope to have a better outing when they visit Luton Town. Both sides have a game in hand; 12th placed Luton Town have 61 points while Rotherham are 22nd in the Championship standings with 40 points. With two games to play, Luton Town can only rise to ninth. They go to this game unbeaten in five matches, winning three. In their last game, they drew 1-1 with Middlesbrough, having led for just two minutes before Boro leveled. In the last 12 matches, Luton have scored more than a goal in three. They’ve drawn the last two home matches but won the earlier one, making it three unbeaten at home. This will be their final home game of the season and after winning just eight in 22, they will be looking to finish well.

Rotherham have five losses in their last six matches, having failed to fully take advantage of their matches in hand. This game is very crucial to them, as each of the bottom three teams has 40 points, but Rotherham have the better goal difference and a game in hand. A win here will see them rise off the relegation zone and they can complete their survival race with a win over Cardiff City. They’ve however not been great in attack, while defensively, they’ve cracked more often. In the last six league matches they have no clean sheet and they’ve failed to score in four of their last six. In the last four away league matches, Rotherham have managed just one point out of a possible 12, and failed to score in each of them.
