Newly promoted Luton Town will welcome the defending Premier League champions Manchester City to Kenilworth Road on Sunday afternoon. The hosts are currently in 18th place in the league standings, while the visitors are fourth. Luton were bitterly unlucky to come away empty-handed from their last match. The Hatters went toe-to-toe with Arsenal in midweek and were on the verge of claiming a point with a 3-3 scoreline before Declan Rice smashed in the winner for the Gunners five minutes into stoppage time at the end of the 90. That result left Luton on nine points after 15 matches and also kept them in the relegation zone. They are one point behind Everton, who are the first side above the dotted line. The hosts have taken five points from a possible 21 at Kenilworth Road this season, and it is worth mentioning that four of those points came in their last three games. While going up against the mighty Man City is a monumental task for any team, the Hatters will know that their opponents are not at their absolute best right at this moment. 

Meanwhile, Manchester City were the latest to fall victim to Unai Emery’s Aston Villa, who have turned Villa Park into something of a fortress over the last year. City were completely outplayed and lost the match 1-0, marking their fourth consecutive league match without a win. To put that into perspective, the last time that Man City failed to win four league games in a row was during Pep Guardiola’s first season in charge, back in the 2016-17 campaign. In addition, the Citizens have only won one of their last five away games, beating Manchester United back in October. Aside from that, they were beaten by Wolves, Arsenal and Villa, while Chelsea took a point off them in an incredible 4-4 draw just before the November international break. That run of results leaves City on 30 points after 15 games, six points behind Arsenal at the top. However, despite their iffy form of late, The Sky Blues are still a class outfit and are heavily fancied to bounce back to winning ways in this one.
