The Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors will face off in their 2025-26 NBA season opener at the Crypto.com Arena on Tuesday night. The Lakers finished the regular season in third place in the Western Conference last term, while the Warriors were seventh. Check out our match prediction below!

The Los Angeles Lakers had a solid season in 2024-25, notching up 50 wins and averaging 113.4 PPG. However, they were unable to get past the first round of the Playoffs. 

Heading into the new season, the major concern for the Lakers is health, with LeBron James, who will turn 41 in December, ruled out, along with a handful of rotation players. 

Thus, Luka Doncic will be tasked with leading the team over the opening weeks. He averaged 28.2 PPG and 7.5 APG last term and had an active offseason in the EuroLeague. 

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors left it late but got into last season’s Playoffs with 48 wins, and reached the Western Conference semi-final before bowing out to the Timberwolves in five.

Stephen Curry led the team with 24.5 PPG last season, but he is a slight doubt for this match. Many are expecting Jimmy Butler to improve even further, now in his first full season with the franchise. 

GSW only won one of their four games against this opponent last season, but they had the better pre-season with three wins in five, while the Lakers were 1-5.
