Tenth seed Lorenzo Musetti takes on the unseeded Jaume Munar in the fourth round of the 2025 US Open. This will be their second meeting of the year. Read on to find our prediction for this match.

Lorenzo Musetti has often struggled against Munar and will approach this tie with the renewed purpose of pegging back the Spaniard. The Italian’s only win in this series came on his way to a standout semi-final finish at last year’s Wimbledon Championships.

Musetti defeated compatriot Flavio Cobolli in straight sets in the last round. Seeking his first-ever third-round win at Flushing Meadows, Musetti was ahead in the third set before Cobolli went down injured. Now with a 29-12 record, the 23-year-old has moved up to ninth in the live ranking.

Jaume Munar is contesting a fourth rounder at a major for the very first time. The Spaniard had only won more than one tie at a Slam once before he arrived in New York.

With his dominant record when up against Musetti, he will be confident of advancing to the quarter-finals. Munar has won four times previously against Musetti, most recently in Hong Kong back in January.

To set up their latest encounter, Munar overpowered Zizou Bergs for his second successive 3-0 victory. Advancing to the last 16 has propelled the 28-year-old seven places to 37th in the live ranking.
