England have won the group but disappointed just about everybody in their 1-0 win over Slovenia on Thursday. The win took them six points clear at the top of the table and now they face Lithuania away in their final game. They have won two and drawn two of their four away games in this group scoring seven goals but four of those came against Malta. In World Cup qualifiers they are unbeaten in their last nine games but four of the last six have ended in draws. Lithuania had to come from behind to get a 1-1 draw in Malta giving their opponents their first point in the group. The home side are fifth in the group with just six points from nine games and their only win was home to Malta. Their last seven internationals have produced six defeats and a draw with only two goals scored. At home in this group they have won one, drawn one and lost two but only conceded seven goals. England have never lost to Lithuania winning all three previous meetings by an aggregate of 9-0. They can make it four wins out of four but could really do with putting on a good display after the Slovenia game.
