The last match day of the League One season sees action at Sincil Bank on Saturday as Lincoln City welcome promoted Wrexham for both teams' 46th league game of the season. Neither team has much at stake in this clash, with The Imps safely secure in mid-table, while the Red Dragons are assured of promotion to the Championship. What will our match prediction be for this final day encounter?
Coming into the fixture, Lincoln boasts an excellent home record of being unbeaten in six games, winning four and drawing two, and it is that form which has been the foundation for their season. They lie eleventh in the table with 61 points. Wrexham will finish second in the table and have amassed 89 points from their 45 games so far. They are five clear of Stockport and Wycombe in third and fourth.
At Sincil Bank, Lincoln City have been hard to beat in the last few weeks, winning four and drawing twice. That includes a 4-2 win over Bolton Wanderers in their last home match. However, last weekend they went down 3-2 away to Stockport County, a first defeat in five games.
Wrexham also come into this game in great form and spirits after securing promotion last weekend. A 2-1 win at Blackpool took them second as Wycombe faltered at home to Charlton and then last weekend, Wrexham thrashed Charlton 3-0 at home to clinch promotion to the Championship.
