Leicester vs QPR Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

Championship leaders Leicester City host Queens Park Rangers in a 3pm kick off on Saturday with the home side looking to get back to winning ways after two consecutive defeats in the league cut their advantage at the top of the table to just six points. A surprise 2-1 home defeat to Middlesbrough was followed by a 3-1 loss at Leeds, but in the FA Cup 5th Round in midweek the Foxes earned a hugely impressive 1-0 win at Bournemouth thanks to a fantastic Abdul Fatawu strike in extra time. That win earns them a quarter final at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea in mid-March. The Foxes have scored 70 goals in the Championship this season, more than any other team, conceding just 29, which is the second best defensive record in the division too. Manager Enzo Maresca will be hoping to improve on his side's record of four wins in their last five games against QPR, including winning both the last two. 

With just one defeat in their last seven Championship games, Queens Park Rangers have picked up enough points to move Marti Cifuentes' team out of the relegation zone. A 1-0 win at Bristol City was followed by a 2-1 win at home to bottom club Rotherham last week and those six points were enough to lift Rangers out of the bottom three and see Stoke City drop into it. Defensively, QPR have improved markedly delivering just six goals in those seven games, a vastly improved record on their season average of conceding 1.32 goals per game. Cifuentes may bemoan his bad luck of running into Leicester City away just as QPR start to gather some momentum in the league, but after the Foxes lost their last two, his QPR team may have a chance to get a positive result here.
