Inter Milan will look to pull further away from the pack in the Serie A when they play host to Lecce on Saturday evening. The hosts are currently leading the league standings, while the visitors are 13th. Lecce have done well to stay above the drop zone this season, but they are far from safe and have been slipping in the standings recently. They are currently on 24 points after 25 games, just four points clear of Verona, who are the first side below the dotted line. I Giallorossi suffered their 11th league defeat of the season last week, beaten 2-0 on the road by Torino. That marked the second consecutive match that they had failed to find the net and was their fourth loss in their last five league fixtures. However, Lecce have been better when playing at home, currently holding a record of five wins, four draws and three losses in 12 games. Still, they were fairly easily beaten 2-0 in the reverse fixture back in December and are the clear underdogs in this one. 

Inter Milan are enjoying an excellent 2023-24 campaign. They are currently on 63 points after 24 games, already nine points clear of Juventus in second and with a game in hand. I Nerazzurri have also been enjoying success in Europe this term. They came through the group stages of the Champions League unbeaten and have a 1-0 lead in the Round of 16 after overcoming Athletico Madrid in midweek. That win also marked their ninth consecutive victory in all competitions and was their 11th match unbeaten. On the road, the visitors are riding a three-match winning streak and are yet to lose a single league match, currently boasting a record of ten wins and two draws in 12 away games. Inter are also unbeaten in their last five matches against this opponent, including four wins and a draw.
