Kosovo will play host to Belarus in a dead-rubber Euro 2024 qualification match in Group I on Tuesday. The two nations are separated by two points, with Kosovo fourth and Belarus fifth. Hosts Kosovo have managed 11 points so far, and are confirmed eliminated. They can’t also qualify for the tournament through the playoffs. Their last chance of fighting through this group was in the last game. While they needed a win to keep their hopes alive, Kosovo could only battle for a late 1-1 draw with Switzerland. Now all Kosovo can play for is pride. A three-game unbeaten run will however give them the needed confidence to see this through. They have two wins in the three matches, and those are all the wins they have in the last 11 matches.

Belarus are coming from a 1-0 win over Andorra, but that came a little late as far as qualification is concerned. While that was their only win in the last five matches, Belarus have lost just once in that period. That win also marked their third clean sheet in five matches. The visitors have however failed to score in three of the said five matches. Two wins in nine matches mean at least they won’t finish bottom of this group. Like Kosovo, Belarus don’t have a playoff spot owing to a dismal showing in the Nations League. They managed a 2-1 win over Kosovo in their first meeting in this group, and will hope to seal a double.
