Juventus managed their first win in Serie A this season as they came from behind to beat Spezia in their last game and they will hope for another win as they host Sampdoria on Sunday. The win saw Juventus leap to 12th in the standings, with five points, and Sampdoria have the same number of points, in 13th place. The hosts are now unbeaten in three matches but still need to improve defensively, having managed just one clean sheet. They’ve scored three goals in two of their last three matches and Federico Chiesa is proving to be key after engineering the turnaround at Spezia. One area they will seek to keep up is attack; Juventus have only failed to score once in their last five matches but they have no clean sheet in their last 19 league matches.

Sampdoria are coming from a 4-0 humbling by league leaders Napoli; it was the third game in five that they failed to score and their third straight game to produce over 2.5 goals. They held Inter Milan to a 2-2 draw earlier and will be hoping to serve Juventus the same if not more. However, they have just one win in their last five matches in the league, though they can bank on an away run of three matches unbeaten. Sampdoria have two wins and three clean sheets in their last three away matches. Their form against Juventus hasn’t also been the best, the team losing four straight matches against Juventus. They have failed to score in the last three meetings with Juventus.
