Joao Fonseca has built on his 2024 ATP Tour NextGen Finals title win. The Spaniard is 45th in the live rankings, just three below his career high. He's third in the NextGen rankings so is likely to be defending his title later this year.

The 19-year-old has won 21 of his 27 hard court matches this year. Two Challenger Tour titles on this surface have been won. However, on the ATP Tour, he has only reached the third round of a hard court tournament twice.
