Group A at the FIFA World Cup will draw to a close on Tuesday evening when Inter Miami face off against Palmeiras at the Hard Rock Stadium. The Herons trail Verdao on goal difference at the top of the group standings. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

Palmeiras are in a favourable position to reach the knockout rounds of the competition, needing a draw or a win to qualify as the group winners. They can only be eliminated if they lose here and Porto win their match with a three-goal swing. 

Verdao were held to a 0-0 draw in their opening match of the competition by Os Dragoes, but produced a much better performance to beat Al Ahly 2-0 in their second match on Thursday. 

Wessam Abou Ali and Jose Manuel Lopez have scored Palmeiras’ two goals in the competition. The latter has now scored three in his last four competitive matches. 

Meanwhile, a victory for Inter Miami will see them qualify as group winners, while a draw will still be enough to get through in second. They can only be eliminated if they lose and Al Ahly win their match with a two-goal swing. 

The Herons played out a goalless draw against the Red Devils in their opening match, before coming from behind to beat Porto 2-1 in game two, with Telasco Segovia and Lionel Messi scoring. 

The MLS outfit are now unbeaten in their last five matches across all competitions (W3 D2 L0) and scored two or more goals in all but one of those games.
