Singida Black Stars will, on matchday two of the CAF Confederations Cup, play host to South African side Stellenbosch. These two feature in Group C, and after differing starts, Stellenbosch are second while Singida are bottom. Read on for our prediction of the match.
Singida are getting the continental experience after sailing through the preliminaries. It gets tougher at this stage, as the Tanzanians learned from their opening group game. They suffered a 2-0 defeat away to Belouizdad.
That defeat left them with one win in the last four outings and without a clean sheet. The hosts will be keen on bouncing back here, despite their lack of experience at such levels.
Stellenbosch are taking part in the Confederations Cup for the second time. In their debut appearance last season, they went all the way to the semis.
They were actually eliminated by a Tanzanian side, Simba. They come into this encounter having had a good start, with a 1-0 win at home against Otoho d’Oyo.
They followed on the win with another, this time in the Premier Soccer League, beating Orbit College 2-1. Before this two-match winning streak, Stellenbosch had suffered three straight defeats. It means they have just one clean sheet in the last five matches.
