Huddersfield Town vs Leeds Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

Second placed Leeds United travel to 19th placed Huddersfield Town in the Championship in Saturday's 12.30pm kick off. The Terriers have appointed Andre Breitenreiter as their new manager and the man to replace Darren Moore on a permanent basis. But the former TSG Hoffenheim manager will have a baptism of fire in this Yorkshire derby clash against a Leeds team in exceptional form. Last time out, Huddersfield came from 1-0 down away to Watford to earn a very important 2-1 victory thanks to a double from Danny Ward. Those three points kept Huddersfield out of the relegation zone on 37 points. But with QPR and Sheffield Wednesday starting to find some form, it is getting very tight at the foot of the Championship table which makes this game key for the home side.

Leeds were in action in the FA Cup in midweek and were narrowly beaten 3-2 by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, conceding an injury time winner. Daniel Farke did take the opportunity to rest some key players in that game though with Crysencio Summerville and Wilfried Gnonto both starting on the bench along with Patrick Bamford and Glen Kamara. That defeat aside, Leeds are on a fantastic run of nine successive Championship wins and they capped that last weekend with a 3-1 win over Leicester City, scoring three times in the last 10 minutes of the game to come back from 1-0 down against the league leaders. Leeds are level on points with Ipswich on 72 points but have a better goal difference than the Tractor Boys and both are still six points adrift of Leicester City at the top of the table in what is proving to be an exciting Championship promotion battle.
