The Houston Rockets are set to host the Brooklyn Nets at the Toyota Center in an NBA cross-conference clash. The Rockets are in 14th place in the Western Conference table, while the Nets are in 15th place in the Eastern Conference. Here's our match prediction. 

The Houston Rockets enter their final match of a two-game home stand seeking to record their first win in the Western Conference. It has been an underwhelming start to the campaign as they've lost two straight matches.

The Rockets began with a 125-124 double-overtime loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder at Paycom Center. This was followed by a four-point home defeat against the Detroit Pistons (115-111). 

Those setbacks shouldn't come as a surprise, considering they were up against teams better than them. Ime Udoka's men have lost three consecutive matches and have a 2-5 record in their last seven competitive matches. This run stretches to the previous season. 

Little was expected from the Brooklyn Nets this season after a dismal run in the previous campaign, which saw them finish as the fourth-worst team in the East.

Right on cue, the Nets have lost their first three games and have been vulnerable on defense. They are allowing 128.3 points per game to their opponents.

In their recent match, the second night of a back-to-back, they were drawn against the San Antonio Spurs on the road and lost 118-107.
