In a repeat of the 2024 showdown, Germany Women host France in this first leg of the 2025 UEFA Women's Nations League semi-finals on Friday. The aggregate winner of this match will face either Spain or Sweden Women in the final. Can DFB Women overcome the Blues to close in on the coveted UEFA women's silverware? Germany finished top of Group 1 with 16 points to secure their spot in the 2025 UEFA Women's Nations League semi-finals. They demolished Austria Women 6-0 in their last group match in June to remain unbeaten in the group and extend their winning streak in the competition to five matches.
DFB Women carried that momentum into the 2025 Euro Women tournament in July. They edged out France via penalties in the quarter-final after a pulsating 1-1 draw but fell 1-0 to Spain in the last four.
