Tenth seed Alexander Bublik has a tough task in round three at Wimbledon . He faces the 17th seed Frances Tiafoe for a place in the last 16 of this grass court Grand Slam. Tiafoe recently won the Halle Open and our prediction is he will win this match.

The winner will take on either sixth seed Taylor Fritz or unseeded Lorenzo Sonego in round four.

Both of these players have previously reached round four at Wimbledon. Tiafoe did so four years ago and Bublik in 2023.

Frances Tiafoe has been in excellent form so far in this year's grass court season. He has won eight of his nine matches and won the Halle Open beating Taylor Fritz in the final. So far this week, he has beaten Terence Atmane and Jan Choinski, both in four sets.

The pair are level at 2-2 in previous meetings and 1-1 on grass. One of those meetings was here in 2022 and won in four sets by Tiafoe. 

Alexander Bublik has a 4-2 grass court record this year with a semi-final reached in Stuttgart but he lost in round one in Halle. He has reached round three here with victories over Thanasi Kokkinakis in five sets and a three-set win over Kyrian Jacquet.
