Nigeria take on France as the tournament strives to decide the finishing places between fifth and eighth in this Women's World Cup tournament. The winner of this match faces the winner of Canada v China with the losers meeting the team defeated in that match, so there's still plenty for Nigeria to do in this tournament. They have certainly caused a few suprises with the shock win over Turkey and then edging out Greece by a point in the first knock-out round. The end of the road in the regular tournament came when predictably they lost to the favourites the USA by 31 points only managing to score 40 points in the match.

This has been a disappointing tournament for France who came into the tournament ranked three in the world. They started their campaign well enough with a 31-point win over South Korea and then followed that up with a four-point win over Greece. It all went wrong in their final group game as they lost by 11 points to Canada meaning they had to go into the first knock-out round where they beat Turkey by 17 points. That set up a quarter final with the debuting Belgium team and the French were beaten by 21 points in a major surprise. The second quarter  of that match was a disaster for the French losing it by 19 points and trailing by 22 at half-time and they never recovered from that. They have to bounce back from that defeat but should be able to get a win over Nigeria and progress to the fourth and fifth place play-off match. Go for over 132.5 points to be scored in the match.
