Poland will be looking to rise in Group E of the Euro 2024 qualifiers when they travel to Faroe Islands. The two occupy the bottom slots in the group, Poland fourth and Faroe Islands in fifth place. Faroe Islands haven't been able to add points to their surprise draw with Moldova on Match Day 1. After that 1-1 draw, they’ve lost four straight and managed to score just once in the process. The hosts are coming from a 1-0 home loss to Moldova in their last outing. That was their eighth straight game without a win. They have six losses in the process, including defeats in each of their last five matches. In their last 11 matches, Faroe Islands have managed just one win. Faroe Islands were always expected to be underdogs in this group. From their six losses in eight, they failed to score in five. The win over Malta in 2019 is Faroe Island’s only one in 19 Euro qualification matches. They’ve suffered defeats in four of five home matches in Euro qualification, failing to score in three of the losses.

Poland haven't been able to hit top gear in this group. Three losses and two wins in five matches have them in danger of missing a place at the final tournament. A win here will however lift them and brighten their hopes of qualification. The Poles beat Faroe Islands 2-0 in their first meeting but in their most recent game, were beaten by Albania. That loss to Albania was their second in three matches, but the first time they failed to score in seven matches. Poland have a poor away run, but this isn’t a game that should trouble them. They’ve lost four straight away matches, and failed to win any of the last five. However, coming into this fifth meeting with Faroe Island, they’ve won each of the first four. In three of their four matches against Faroe Islands, Poland have won with clean sheets. They will want to improve on their defensive performance away from home, having conceded two or more in the last four.
