England will close out the first international break of the season by hosting the Czech Republic at Wembley Stadium in the UEFA Nations League on Tuesday night. The Three Lions have scored two or more goals in each match in this competition, and our prediction is that they will do so again in this one.
Thomas Tuchel’s side will enter their final match of the international window brimming with confidence after handing Croatia the biggest defeat in their national team’s history in Rijeka over the weekend. The Three Lions have now scored 11 goals in their three UNL games - the most of any team in League A of the competition to this point.
After earning promotion to League A in the last edition, the Czech Republic have struggled to cope with the step up in class in the top tier. Santi Denia has yet to win a match as head coach of Národák, and another defeat here will end any hopes of finishing in the top two in Group A4 with two games still to play. Let’s get into the key stats!

England - Czechia: Form Analysis
After losing their first match of the Nations League to world champions Spain, England have bounced back impressively, beating the Czech Republic 2-0 before hammering Croatia 7-0 on Saturday.
The Three Lions took the lead after just eight minutes in Rijeka over the weekend and were already 4-0 up by the break. They ended the match with 6.43 xG and 45 touches in the opposition box.
This week’s hosts have won five of their last eight home games in all competitions (D1 L2) and also scored two more goals in five matches during this period while keeping four clean sheets.
England have won three of their last four matches against the Czech Republic!
Meanwhile, there are still three games to play, but the Czech Republic look likely to return to League B, having lost all three of their UNL matches in this edition, conceding seven goals while scoring just two.
Národák were no match for Spain in their last outing, losing 3-1 in Oviedo on Saturday. They were starved of possession (31%) and ended the game with 0.49 xG and only eight touches in the opposition box.
Czechia are now winless in their last six matches across all competitions with five losses and a draw, and have only won two of their last nine away games since the start of the 2024-25 UNL.

England & Czechia Squad Analysis
Harry Kane has returned for his backers in every match in this competition, netting a goal each against Spain and Czechia before bagging a brace and an assist against Croatia. The skipper is now just the fourth English player to score in six consecutive away games in national colours.
Bukayo Saka (2), Jude Bellingham, Morgan Rogers, and Anthony Gordon all got on the scoresheet in the last match, with the latter having now scored in every match in this competition, while he also provided an assist in Rijeka.
Nico O’Reilly pulled out of the squad ahead of the last match through injury and has now returned to Man City. Bellingham, Marc Guehi, and Myles Lewis-Skelly are one yellow card away from a suspension.
Kane will equal Peter Shilton’s all-time England appearance record if he features in this match!
Amid a flurry of second-half cards, Ladislav Krejci was shown red in the 85th minute against Spain and is suspended for this match. Martin Vitik is the most likely to step into the backline for the Wolves defender.
Pavel Sulc lasted just 25 minutes before receiving his marching orders against England last week. He was forced to sit out the loss to La Roja but is expected to replace Lukas Amros in this one.
Vladimir Coufal missed the last match with a knee injury and is listed as a major doubt for this trip to the English capital.

Our England vs Czechia Prediction
England have bounced back very impressively from their defeat to Spain on MD1, and while they are likely to dominate this fixture, there is a chance that Thomas Tuchel may consider rotating a few of his stars this week.
The Czech Republic have struggled to come to terms with the step up in class in League A, and while we do not think they will ship as many as Croatia did in the last match, we do still feel they will lose this one by a significant margin. Our England vs Czech Republic prediction is England to score 2 to 4 goals.
