Football in the German top-flight returns this weekend with 12th-placed Eintracht Frankfurt tackling Borussia Monchengladbach, who are fourth, in a clash that many will salivate over. Frankfurt were in desperate form before the season was halted, losing by four goals to Leverkusen in the Bundesliga and three at home FC Basel in the Europa League. A midtable side playing below their potential, it has been a transitional season for Frankfurt after a couple of successful campaigns. Their struggles have stemmed from the sale of the front three that combined so well. Their replacements have failed to deliver and Frankfurt's misfiring attack adds pressure on a backline that already lacks confidence.
