One of Africa’s representatives at the FIFA U20 World Cup, Egypt will be up against New Zealand U20 on matchday two. This Group A match will decide these nations’ fate after opening defeats. Read on for our prediction.
Egypt, looking to do better than their third-place finish in 2001, started on the wrong footing. They fell 2-0 to 1999 finalists Japan and will start this round at the bottom of the group.
With a match against hosts Chile also coming up, Egypt have a very slim room for error if they are looking to advance. Heading into this game, Egypt are winless in eight of their last 10 matches.
