18-year-old Dino Prizmic faces David Goffin in round one of the ABN AMRO Open in Rotterdam. Prizmic received a wild card to play in this ATP 500 indoor hard court tournament, while Goffin had to go through the qualifiers. Next up for the winner of this match is either Sebastian Korda or the fifth seed Alex de Minaur. Prizmic is 171st in the live rankings and will hope for some good results in Rotterdam as he tries to match or better his career high 158th. This year has seen him get to the last 16 in a Challenger Tour event held in Canberra. He made his way through qualifying for the Australian Open winning three matches. Then he drew Novak Djokovic in the main draw but did take the second set off the world number one. Last year saw him win two Challenger Tour tournaments but both were on clay.

David Goffin was ranked as high as seventh but that was in November 2017. He's now at 133rd in the live rankings and got through to this first round after winning two qualifying matches. He did so without losing a set and defeated Giys Brouwer in the final qualifying round. The Belgian also played the Challenger Tour event in Canberra and lost in the quarter finals. In the Australian Open, the 33-year-old won three qualifiers to make the first round but was beaten by Ugo Humbert in four sets.
