Daniil Medvedev vs Ugo Humbert Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Dubai Open

 Daniil Medvedev is only a couple of matches away from retaining his Dubai Tennis Championship title. The top seed takes on fifth seeded Ugo Humbert in the last four. Waiting in the final of this outdoor hard court tournament will be either second seed Andrey Rublev or the seventh seeded Alexander Bublk. Medvedev is playing only his second tournament of the year and is fourth in the live rankings. His only other tournament in 2024 was the Australian Open where he was beaten in the final by Jannik Sinner. He's made it to the semi-final of this ATP 500 tournament with only one set lost. That was in the second round when losing the opening set to Lorenzo Sonego. His other two matches have produced straight sets wins over Alexander Shevchenko and in the last eight, eighth seeded Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.

Ugo Humbert is attempting to reach his second final of the year. He won the indoor hard court title in Marseille but then won only one of his next three matches. He's a career high 18th in the live rankings and beating Medvedev could take him as high as 15th. So far in Dubai, he's beaten Gael Monfils in the first round after losing the first set. Round two saw him beat Andy Murray in straight sets but he had to come from behind to get past third seed Hubert Hurkacz in his quarter final. He's actually won two of his three previous matches against Medvedev, though one was on clay. Their most recent meeting was won by Medvedev last October. We tip Medvedev to win this match in straight sets.
