Crystal Palace - Everton: Form Analysis
Crystal Palace were finally able to put an end to their eight match winless run last Saturday, picking up a vital 3-1 home victory over Brentford. They’ll now attempt to keep the positive momentum going at Selhurst Park where they have largely struggled to replicate previous seasons' strong home results. Palace have managed just two wins in front of the home fans this campaign and are actually averaging more points earned per match on the road. Roy Hodgson’s squad has also seen their defensive form take a significant dip as they’ve conceded in eight straight.
Everton were on a red-hot run with four consecutive shutout victories including home wins over Chelsea and Newcastle. However, they would see their form dip during the holiday season as they suffered three straight league defeats along with an EFL Cup penalty shootout loss. Their most recent was a 3-0 away loss to Wolves. Despite the losing streak, Everton have largely looked much-improved from the team that narrowly avoided relegation by two points last season. They’ve already won as many league matches as they had in the previous campaign (eight) and would be all the way up to 12th in the standings without their 10 point deduction.

Crystal Palace & Everton Squad Analysis
Roy Hodgson will be without five players for the visit of Everton. There is also a doubt as to the status of €50 million rated winger Michael Olise who appeared to suffer a hamstring injury in the win over Brentford on the weekend. Olise has contributed four goals and one assist in his last four appearances, making his potential absence a huge worry for the hosts. The confirmed missing players for this game include Cheick Doucoure, Rob Holding, Sam Johnstone, Joel Ward and Rak-Sakyi.
On the other side, Sean Dyche has three confirmed absences in Ashley Young, Dele Alli and Idrissa Gueye. It remains to be seen whether the 52-year-old manager will opt to rotate some of his squad given the busy holiday period. Players such as Dwight McNeil, James Garner and Amadou Onana all featured heavily during that time, opening up the door for players such as Danjuma, Gomes and Beto to potentially secure a place in the starting 11 for this one.
