Croatia will be looking for a massive improvement at the 2025 World Cup of Darts on Friday afternoon when they face Switzerland. The Croatians are the number 15 seed, while the Swiss are unseeded. Let’s get into the match prediction.
Croatia became one of the biggest disappointments on opening night when they suffered a shock 4-3 defeat to Ryusei Azemoto and Tomoya Goto of Japan.
Pero Jjubic and Boris Krcmar dropped the first leg before notching up three in a row thereafter. However, they could not get the job done, and the Japanese duo came back, rattling off three sets in a row to clinch the victory.
The Croats pinned one 180 and averaged 80.62, while recording a highest checkout of 83. However, they only managed to hit three of their 11 checkout attempts.
Meanwhile, Switzerland will be playing their first match of the competition on Friday. They have never made it out of the group stage in five previous appearances at the World Cup.
The Swiss have brought in Alex Fehlmann to partner Stefan Bellmont this year after losing to Northern Ireland 4-3 and South Africa 4-2 last year.
Switzerland are on a six-match losing streak in World Cup games, and their only win in this competition came against China way back in 2018.
