Game 5 of the NBA Playoff series between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Indiana Pacers will take us back to the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse on Tuesday night. The Pacers beat the Cavs in the last match to take a 3-1 lead in the series. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

The Cleveland Cavaliers have struggled with the pace and tempo of the Pacers throughout this series, and Game 4 may just have been the breaking point for them, as they lost by 20 points. 

Cleveland were down 15 points at the end of the first quarter, and Indiana stretched their lead to 42 by halftime. By that point, not only was the contest over for the Cavs due to the scoreline, but also because Donovan Mitchell left the game and did not return. 

Mitchell sustained an injury to his left ankle and will undergo an MRI scan before this match, though it will not be surprising if he sits this one out. 

The Indiana Pacers once again flexed their all-around strength with six players finishing in double-digits, while all 15 of their players got game time.

The biggest positive for Indiana was seeing Darius Garland find his range, putting up 21 points after a poor 3 of 11 shooting upon returning from injury in Game 3. 

The Pacers are now firmly in the driver’s seat and could be on the verge of bringing this series to an end.
