There are just two Nights remaining before the Premier League Darts play-off finals take place. Chris Dobey is seventh in the table and on Thursday faces sixth-placed Rob Cross in the quarter-finals. Can Voltage defeat Dobey? Here's our match prediction.
Rob Cross is six points behind the one remaining play-off position. That's currently held by Michael van Gerwen with Luke Littler, Luke Humphries and Gerwyn Price already qualified for the play-offs.
Cross is the only player in the league yet to reach a final. He has reached seven semi-finals and if winning this match will take on either Luke Littler or Luke Humphries next. With just two Nights left, he needs to win one of them and probably get to another final to have any chance of qualifying.
Last week saw him lose to Gerwyn Price in the quarter-finals, his third successive league defeat.
It's even bleaker for Chris Dobey who is eight points behind fourth place. Two wins will be needed to give him a chance of reaching the play-offs. He has won one Night but lost ten quarter-finals.
It's 1-1 between these two players in league meetings this season with Cross winning the most recent one 6-2.
