Chile are set for a crucial game in the CONMEBOL 2022 World Cup qualifiers when they host South American champions Argentina on Match Day 15. The two sides meet at the height of contrasting fortunes; Chile, sixth in the standings, have 16 points and in real danger of missing out while Argentina, second with 29 points, have already qualified. It hasn’t been a great run for Chile in the qualifiers; they've managed just four wins in the 14 matches they’ve played in the qualifiers. In World Cup qualification they are unbeaten in 17 matches, the last time they lost being in 2017, 2-0 away to Bolivia. That remains their only loss in 20 matches in World Cup qualification.
