Two sides in perfect form in the Premiership, Celtic and Aberdeen will clash when action returns in the league this weekend. Heading into this top of the table clash, The Hoops host The Dons, in a match that could break their tie. Read on for our preview and prediction.
Seven matches into the season, only goal difference separates these two sides at the top of the standings. Celtic have the advantage and hosting this clash further boosts their chances.
In their last act two weeks ago, Celtic left it late before beating Ross County 2-1. That was some recovery following their humiliating 7-1 defeat to Borussia Dortmund.
After three consecutive away matches, they will be happy to return home, where they have nine straight wins in the league.
Aberdeen have given Celtic some tough times in recent matches. The past two meetings between them ended in draws in regular time. The visitors will be looking to better that, and their form coming into this game would give them the needed confidence.
They have some momentum, having won each of their 13 matches across all competitions this season. The last time Aberdeen suffered a loss, it was on post-match penalties – a Scottish Cup semi-final game against Celtic in April.
In their most recent match, Aberdeen led early, fell behind but rose again to beat 10-man Hearts 3-2. Returning from a two-week break Jimmy Thelin will hope his charges haven't been slowed down.

Aberdeen finished in the relegation group last season in the Premiership but seem determined to challenge for honors this term. It is still too early to tell, but the visitors have momentum to carry to Celtic.
