by Kennedy Kechula in Carabao Cup Predictions
The third round of the League Cup gets underway this week and among the top encounters will be Brighton hosting Wolverhampton Wanderers. Going into the Wednesday match, we have a prediction.
These two sides have had opposing starts to the season; Brighton have enjoyed it more than their visitors. The Seagulls’ new man in charge Fabian Hurzeler is enjoying a dream start in England.
Brighton are yet to taste defeat this season, winning three of the opening five matches. One of those was in the second round of this competition, beating Crawley Town 4-0.
The team will hope to improve on back-to-back draws. Upon returning from the international break, they could only manage a 0-0 draw with promoted Ipswich Town.
While Brighton failed to score for the first time this season, a third clean sheet in five is acceptable.
Wolverhampton Wanderers aren’t having their dream start, winning just once in five matches. The visitors have so far failed to match their Premier League counterparts.
Their only win came against Championship side Burnley in the second round of this competition. Not even the two-week international break would engineer a shift in fortunes.
Wolves returned to a 2-1 home defeat against Newcastle United on Sunday. They scored first and looked to be coasting to a first league win but were shocked by two quick, late goals. If there's something to be optimistic about, the team has scored in all their last four matches.
However, they suffered four defeats in the last six meetings with Brighton. Wolves’ away form is also unimpressive, as they won none of the last eight on the road.

Our Brighton vs Wolves Prediction
Our prediction for Brighton v Wolverhampton Wanderers is for Brighton to win. Brighton and Wolves are having contrasting runs so far in the season. While Wolves are struggling, Brighton are having a stroll and are yet to taste defeat.
The new Brighton manager has settled in well and the team has bought into his style. The reward for this has been three wins in five matches. Meanwhile, Wolves have three losses in five matches and this will make for another tough outing. Their away form isn’t great either.
2 Goals Ahead Early Payout

More than 80 leagues and competitions are available on this football promotion from bet365. If the team that you have backed takes a two-goal lead at any point in the game, then your bet is a winner. This counts on both single bets and on multiple placed on the full time market, though of course on a multiple it is only the game in question that is marked as a winner, all the other selections still have to win as well.
A bet placed on any enhanced price is not valid for this offer, nor any bet that is cashed out. If you have partially chased out, the remainder of the stake is paid out as a winner. If your acca selection would have been a loser but for this offer then you will not gain any acca boost winnings. So for example, your team goes 2-0 up so you are paid out as a winner but the end result is 2-2, your bet is still a winner if all the other selections win but you do not gain any acca boost.
