Brighton face Arsenal on Saturday evening having lost just one game at the AMEX Stadium this season. Despite that, the Seagulls have just the 8th best home record in the Premier League by virtue of drawing nearly as many games as they have won (6 draws compared to 7 wins). Furthermore, they have four home games left this season and they will all be against top six teams in Arsenal, followed by Manchester City, Aston Villa and then finally Manchester United. As such, the Seagulls, who went down 2-1 to Liverpool last weekend before drawing 0-0 away to Brentford in midweek, may yet have a very big say in who eventually wins the title and who secures a Champions League place next season.

Arsenal come into the game having defeated Luton Town 2-0 at the Emirates in midweek, despite Mikel Arteta giving some of his stars a rest in the game against the Hatters, following their exertions in the 0-0 draw with Manchester City last weekend. That draw is the only blemish on a fantastic record in 2024 for Arsenal, who have won all their other Premier League games in that period (but they have suffered two defeats in cup competitions in that time). With things so tight between the Gunners, Liverpool and Manchester City in the title race, any slip up now could be very costly, so I'd expect to see Arsenal back at full-strength for this game, especially against a team that they have beaten just twice in their last six matches, losing three and drawing the other.
