Both teams are already assured qualification and Atletico need to avoid defeat to keep the top spot while Lazio need a win. Lazio need a win to stay in contention for the top spot as they have three wins and a loss apart from the draw against Atletico from matchday one. They are coming off consecutive wins in the Champions League, which helped assuage the hurt of a 3-1 loss at Feyenoord. The Serie A side has drawn 1-1 with Verona in the domestic league game over the weekend, extending their mini-unbeaten sequence to four games. While that would give them enough confidence to remain in the hunt for a win here, is to be seen. Unfortunately for the visitors, their away form has given them away many times in the season.
